WROCŁAW – THE MODERN CITY WITH 1000 YEARS OF HISTORY

Day 1 – WROCLAW

  • Arrival Wroclaw, meeting our local guide at the airport
  • transfer to the hotel
  • Familirization walking tour of Wroclaw
  • Overnight in Wroclaw

 

Day 2 – WROCLAW (B)

  • Arrival Warsaw,
  • After breakfast tour of Wroclaw – a city that lies at the crossroard of many cultures. Wroclaw, due to its location on the Oder River and its four tributaries, being divided into 14 islands and vast amounts of bridges (127) is also called the Venice of the North.
    Your tour starts at the Old Town on Ostrow Tumski, the oldest part of the city. You will visit some Gothic churches, the Town Hall, the University with its beautiful Aula Leopoldina, probably the most beautiful lecture hall in Poland.
  • Please look for traces of small Dwarfs of Wroclaw!
  • One of the biggest tourist attractions of Wroclaw is Panorama of Raclawice – this huge (120 x 15 m) image shows the most important battle of the Kosciuszko uprising in 1794 against the Russians. Continue the tour to astonishing Centennial Hall (Peoples Hall ) – placed on UNESCO Heritage List.
    After the end of the tour we recommend to take a look on the city from the bird’s eye-view – an observation deck located on the tallest building in Poland – Sky Tower.

Day 3 – WROCLAW (B)

  • After breakfast, drive to Krzyzowa – a small village with approx. 200 inhabitants, to learn a bit of unknown history . Krzyzowa became known mainly thanks to the family von Moltke. During World War II, they formed Krzyzowa Circle , who actively participated in the opposition movement and discussed issues related to a possible world order after the war without Hitler. Today ‘Foundation Krzyzowa – European Agreement’ is still acting there. A short lecture will be given to the group participants.
  • On the way back to Wroclaw visit the Church of Peace in Swidnica – one of the churches that were built on the basis of the Peace of Westphalia after the 30 years war and which is placed on the UNESCO list since 2001.
  • After coming back to Wroclaw – free time for relaxing , stroll along Wroclaw streets, visiting discos and pubs, sport activities, aquapark etc
  • Overnight in Wroclaw

 

Day 4 – WROCLAW ( B )

  • After breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight back home
