KAYAKING IN MASURIAN LAKE DISTRICT ( 9 days / 8 nights )

WARSAW (1) – MASURIA(6) – WARSAW (1)

Day 1 – WARSAW (D)

Day 2 – WARSAW – MASURIA (B, D): 220 km

Buffet breakfast at the hotel
Morning half day city tour of Warsaw including Old Town with Market Square, Barbican Walls, Castle Square with Sigismundus Column. Drive along Krakowskie Przedmiescie and Nowy Swiat Streets to Belvedere and Lazienki park with Palace on the Water and F. Chopin Monument. Visit new part of the city : Palace of Culture and Science- panorama of the city from 30^th floor, admire panorama of the city from the right bank of the Vistula River
Transfer to Masurian Lakes District
In the afternoon walk to Ernst Wiechert memory place . On the forest’s educational path you will see the ‘Bobrowisko’ – beaver living place and 125 years stand of pine ( 1 hours walk )
Dinner and overnight in Masurian Lake District area

Day 3 – MASURIA (B, D)

Buffet breakfast at the hotel
Drive to Babieta and to start the kayaking to Spychow from the local campsite (approx. 12.8 km taking from 2,4 to 4,5 hrs depending on the skills of participants). You will pass the Lake: Zyzdroj Duzy and Zyzdroj Maly ( Zyzdroj Large and Small ). Having luck you will see herons.
In the afternoon transfer back to the hotel .

Day 4 – MASURIA (B, D)

Buffet breakfast at the hotel
Transfer to Spychow. Kayaking from Spychow to Zgon (ca. 10,5 km taking from 2 to 3,5 hrs depending on the skills of participants ). Pass Uplik Lake – probably the most beautifull lake on the whole route.
In the afternoon excursion to nature reserve ‘ Royal Pine’ to see 200 years old pines and oaks and the biggest attraction : 300 years old dead pine and almost 400 years old oak ‘Oak at

Day 5 – MASURIA (B, D)

Buffet breakfast at the hotel
Continue kayaking trip with first stop at Mokre Lake ( ca 7,8 km, depth 51 m) to Krutynia Lake – which gives the beginning to Krutynia River, the most picturesque and beautiful part of your trip. Clean water, unspoiled nature, fishes and birds (including kingfishers ) always leave the unforgettable impression for the nature lovers
Afternoon free for own activities or relax

Day 6 – MASURIA (B, D)

Buffet breakfast at the hotel
Departure for 13 km kayaking trip ( 2,5-2,5 hours.). The route leads from Krutyn to Rosocha and Wojnowo to Ukta. A short break in Wojnowo to visit Old Believers Monastery.
In the afternoon a walk or horse carriage ride from Ukta to Galkowo to visit Salon of the countess Marion Donhoff.

Day 7 – MASURIA (B, D)

Buffet breakfast at the hotel
Full day excursion in the Masurian Lakes District: Święta Lipka famous for the beautiful Baroque chuch with Best known organs in Poland ( possibility to listen to pipie-organ concert ), Sztynort – associated with Lehndorff family , visit tot he palace and park
Boat cruise on the Masurian Lakes – a few cruises to be offered incuding ‚Island of cormorants‘ – nature reserve
Optional : lunch on the boat
In the afternoon excursion to Wolf’s Lair in Gierloz near Ketrzyn – the main war headquarter of Adolf Hitler during II World War

Day 8 – MASURIA – WARSAW (B, L) 220 km

Buffet breakfast at the hotel
The last day of the kayak trip of this journey – from Ukta to Nowy Most and Iznota (approx. 15 km, 3-5 hours )
In the late afternoon lunch at the local restaurant to taste Masurian dishes for the last time ( we hope you will remember them long )
Transfer to Warsaw
Overnight in Warsaw
